My journey to the kitchen wasn’t traditional. For nearly a decade, I analyzed financial markets in Manhattan’s high-pressure corporate world. But every evening, I found myself in my apartment kitchen, experimenting with flavors and techniques—my true sanctuary from spreadsheets and earnings calls.
In 2019, I made the leap. I enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America, trading my Bloomberg terminal for a chef’s knife. The precision and analytics that served me in finance now inform my approach to recipe development—every dish is tested, refined, and perfected with methodical attention to detail.
Today, FlavorLux represents my philosophy: luxury cooking shouldn’t be intimidating. With the right guidance and techniques, anyone can create restaurant-quality dishes at home.

Home Base
Currently based in Portland, Oregon, where the Pacific Northwest’s incredible local ingredients fuel my creative process. The city’s farm-to-table culture aligns perfectly with my cooking philosophy.
Morning Ritual
Every recipe development session starts with a pour-over coffee. I’m obsessed with single-origin beans and the precision of manual brewing—it’s meditation before the creative chaos begins.
Sous Chef
My golden retriever, Sage, is always nearby during testing sessions. She’s an excellent taste tester for anything that hits the floor—and a patient companion during late-night recipe debugging.
Weekend Passion
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me playing blues guitar. There’s something about improvisation in music that parallels cooking—both require knowing the fundamentals before you can break the rules.
